I have been lucky enough to photograph part of the Faley family since I started my business. This time they brought the whole gang to their shoot! Coming from a big family myself, I know how special it is to get everyone together for a few photographs. Because of that, I have to say extended family shoots are some of my favorite. The Faley family made my job simple and they seemed to honestly enjoy wondering around the park together :) And we couldn't beat the beautiful fall day we had. Thanks for introducing me to the whole gang- I hope these pictures are treasured for years to come!

Barlage Family
I had so much fun photographing Cam for his first birthday. He was all smiles and all little boy- moving from place to place at about a mile a minute. His momma and I were teammates and good friends throughout high school, so when I received an e-mail from her asking to me to photograph her little guy's first birthday I could not have been more excited. It was so sweet to see her growing little family and what a great mom she has become. After his outdoor pictures Cam was treated to a cake to kick off his birthday celebration. He loved it and was certainly not afraid of getting messy! It was straight into the tub after devouring all the frosting. Thanks for letting me capture this fun stage of life with you, Barlage Family!

Casey's Senior Pictures
I am loving shooting seniors more and more with each session. These students come in for their shoots and they are so caring, thoughtful and confident. I am seriously so impressed with these high schoolers. Casey was no exception- she had the most awesome sense of style and was so fun to work with. Her mom came along for the shoot and the dynamic between the duo was unbeatable. Moms seriously are the best.
We met at Milford Central Park at the peak of fall colors. We spent the evening wondering around downtown and then headed into the park to finish up the session. Casey had no fear when I told her, "okay you can totally say no to this, but I have a little idea." She followed right along and got right into the icy river to finish off her session. Thanks for being a trooper, Casey! Best of luck to you as you finish out your senior year and make plans for the future!

Palazeti Family
Still catching up on blogposts over here from the fall insanity! But the colors are gorgeous and I can almost feel that sunshine as I look out my window at the snow slowing accumulating. So I hope you don't mind riding down memory lane with me back to October.
I met up with the Palazeti family right before their gender reveal party. To say that their family was excited would be an understatement- which was totally understandable! Their two little girls were very patient through their pictures while they were anxiously awaiting to find out if they would have a little brother or sister joining their family. We snapped these photographs at Booth Park in Birmingham and then wondered downtown Birmingham to find a few industrial looking backgrounds. Still one of my favorite locations! Thank you for letting me capture a few images of your family before you grow by one more, Palezeti family!

2015 Highlights: Part 2
My husband, Ted, and I have this joke that 2014 was our year for Europe and that 2015 was our year for National Parks. Neither year did we intend for this to happen, it just sort of did. We started with one visit to a National Park and then we just got inspired and knocked a whole bunch of them off of our bucket list in 2015. I am so blessed to have a husband that loves travel as much as I do. We have seen some amazing places together and had unforgettable experiences around the globe. Below are a few highlights from our adventures in 2015.
Snowshoeing the ice caves on Lake Superior.
An impromptu trip to New Orleans a few weeks before Mardi Gras.
Our first time fly fishing, which quickly led to our second trip fly fishing.
A weeklong backpacking trip in the Porcupine Mountains and a road trip to Copper Harbor.
Checking off over 20 Michigan lighthouses from our list to visit.
Two weeks spent wondering the west in a pop up camper that included stops at Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, Devil's Tower, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole and the Teton Mountains.
A week in Sedona hiking the Red Rocks.
A birthday celebration in Savannah.
We certainly mastered the art of road tripping in 2015. If you are wondering it involves lots of snacks, an endless stream of podcasts, an overload of Diet Mountain Dew (for the driver) and plenty of pillows (for the passenger!) I can't wait to see where 2016 takes us!

Baligian Family
I am going to just take a moment to welcome myself back to the blog! Hey, everyone! I have been so busy editing photo shoots and trying to get them back to families in a timely manner that I have been completely ignoring this little space. So I am back and I am going to try and share lots of the amazing photo shoots from the past few months. First up . . . the Baligian family!
The Baligian family is ridiculously sweet and caring and I couldn't be more grateful that I was able to capture a few images of them together. We met at Booth Park in Birmingham and were able to snap a few photographs of their active little ones while exploring the park. And can we talk about the green trees and short sleeves- already missing that!
