Fox Family

I have been getting together with the Fox family for years for their annual summer shoot.  We always have the same question when we schedule their appointment- is there anywhere new where we can do the pictures.  Well we found a gem this year! We photographed at Greenmead in Livonia and I am swooning! The park was the perfect backdrop for these sweet family pictures.  Thank you for making me feel like a little part of your family every year, Fox family.  Already looking forward to seeing how much everyone has grown at our next shoot!

Eberhardt Family

I met little Griffin for his newborn photographs back in December and now we are already capturing his 6 month photographs- where does the time go?! Griffin was ridiculously smiley and made my job so simple.  His mom made the mistake of letting me know that if he hears the song 'Splish, Splash' he will immediately breakout into a giant smile, so I had her singing that on repeat. Thank you for spending the morning with me, Eberhardt Family!

Katie's Baby Bump

Can we just talk about how gorgeous Katie looks! I mean, wow- she is literally radiant.  And of course Frank looks great too ;) I met up with Katie and Frank at Booth Park in Birmingham to snap a few pictures of their family of two- soon to be three! It was a gorgeous evening and we enjoyed wondering through the park and chatting.  After shoots like this I always get in my car and think to myself, 'yup I have the best job ever.'  Congratulations, you two! Looking forward to meeting your little lady when she arrives!

Jack + Kathleen

Seriously this engagement session . . . perfection.  Kathleen, Jack and I all went to college together and it was so fun to see them again.  I am so thankful for our little college and the bond between all of the Albion alumni.  But anyways, back to these pictures.  Kathleen picked downtown Dexter for their shoot and I am so glad she did! I had never been, and we were lucky enough to get a perfect evening to explore.  It was one of those locations with great flowers and scenic trails, but was also close to the downtown area for a few urban photographs which gave their shoot some nice variety.

Kathleen and Jack were so comfortable with each other the entire time.  I loved watching them interact from behind the camera and seeing how sensitive and sweet Jack was to Kathleen. True love! I am already looking forward to photographing their wedding in Ann Arbor next summer.  Happy planning, you two!

McDonald Family

I just love when I get to see the McDonald family. They were one of my first clients when I had this idea to start my own photography business back in college and they have been such amazing supporters of my business ever since.  I cannot thank them enough for all of the kind words, shared Facebook posts and silly photo shoots at the park over the years.  We always have the best time together and their little girls make my job so much fun. Thank you, thank you, thank you, McDonald Family!

Kiafoulis Family

I know it sounds like I am a broken record, but my favorite part of this job is getting to see families every year. I love to see how their kids have grown, chat about their newest hobbies and sports and just catch up with clients who seem to become friends over the years.  The Kiafoulis family is one of those clients. Each year we meet for their shoot and it feels more like chatting with old friends than work.  And it sure doesn't hurt that their family is stunning- makes my job so easy!  So great to see you all, Kiafoulis family!

Baby Brody

I met sweet little Brody for his newborn photographs when he was just over a week old.  He was wide awake for most of the shoot, but was so good. I don't think I heard him cry one time the whole afternoon! I love those big, baby eyes in most of his photos. And once he did fall into a little nap we were able to snap a few sleepy photographs, too. Enjoy, Hall family!
